JCC Impact Factor 2016: 5.813
Dear ECCO Members, and past JCC authors and reviewers,
On behalf of the JCC Editorial Team I would like to update you on our journal.
With its 2016 Impact Factor which now stands at 5.813, JCC ranks highly among the gastroenterology and hepatology journals as the eleventh journal. This achievement is once again a result of the appreciation of JCC as a top venue by authors in which to publish their work, our reviewers who have worked on behalf of the IBD community, the past Editor Miquel Gassull and his assistant Eduard Cabré, supported by the ECCO Office, our previous publisher Elsevier and also our new publisher since January 2015, Oxford University Press.
JCC continues to grow both in the number of articles that are submitted and the number published. In 2016 over 1,000 articles were submitted and this year the average days from submission to first editorial decision at JCC are 14 days.
I would like to thank you for your continued support of JCC, and I am confident that the journal will grow further and better serve the IBD community world-wide.
With best wishes,
Journal of Crohn’s and Colitis
The Journal of Crohn's and Colitis is the official journal of the European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) and is concerned with the dissemination of knowledge on clinical, basic science and innovative methods related to Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).
The journal publishes original articles, review articles, editorials, ECCO Guidelines, viewpoints, short reports, abstracts and letters to the Editor. JCC is being published every month (12 issues per year) and covers the knowledge and science related to Inflammatory Bowel Diseases: The aims are to update, innovate and challenge.
JCC is defined as an “International Journal”. Although it is the official journal of ECCO, it is open to everyone in the world interested and working in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
In 2010, JCC was accepted for MedLine citation, which motivates us – as ECCO – even more to work on the quality and exposure of our journal.
